Monday summary

8.2.10

Did you all have a good weekend? I hope so. I got absolutely no sleep at all last night and now I'm like a zombie with bags under my eyes :( Here's my list of 5 good things; let me know what yours are!

1) Plans to change my hair colour. I'm naturally a dark brown colour but I've been blonde for years and years now and I fancy a change. Plus it's so expensive and time consuming committing to a bright blonde! I'm going to have a good think before I commit to anything, but it's only hair isn't it! It grows and it can be changed back :)

2) I had a nice weekend full of watching movies and browsing antiques. More details on this in a blog post coming soon! I visited some really cool places in Yorkshire and took lots of photos so I'm going to share them with you.

3) LOST is back and it's my favourite tv programme! So confusing yet so addictive. I have stuck with it all these years and I'm hoping for some answers asap! Boone's back and I'm not complaining. Are you a fan or did you give up on it years ago? I lost my way a few series ago but caught up and I'm still going with it!

4) I'm going to attempt some baking this week - I'm thinking banana bread sounds cool or some muffins. This could be a disaster! I'm not the most advanced in the kitchen.. but how hard can it be!? :)

5) After months of temping I actually had a successful interview last week and I will hear the outcome this week!

I'll leave you with this thought...

  2. I think you would really suit darker hair. Maybe just a darker blonde. Sork of like Giselle's hair.
I keep humming about changing my hair but it's my natural colour now and because it has no dye I think it's in the best condition it has been in years but I think it lacks the depth you get from highlights etc.
Good luch with your interview. I used to temp aswell and it is such a change when you get somehting stable.

  3. I love LOST but it is so confusing. Some how I've stuck with it. The first episode was good to see all the old characters back together, and Charlie was there :)

  4. I'm a right dick in the kitchen too when it comes to making cakes. I followed a recipe from a packet of flour and bulked up the measurements myself and that cake was the nicest cake I've ever eaten (modest, I know).

Give it a bash, it's not hard to go wrong :)

  6. Ooh there must be in the water as so many people (myself included) are making the transition from blonde to dark...it's exciting!

  7. I think embracing your natural colour will be fun, and if you don't like it then in a coupel of weeks time have some highlights put in. I have a hair appointment on Wednesday and am toying with the idea of changing my colour, naturally I'm just a very dark blonde and I wish I could get back to it - but I don't have THAT much faith in my hairdresser, so I'm still undecided whether to have the same as usual or just suggest that he tries some deeper blondes...! Can't wait to see pictures once you change yours though! xxx

  8. I think blond was awesome on you, but as you said it's expensive and time consuming! I tried to convice my mom to go for a darker color years ago, but she think it's aweful on her - and I think that is just because she used to be a natural blonde when she was young and she just doesn't see herself as a brunette.

I AM A FAN OF LOST, INDEED! I USED TO KNOW ALL THE CUES BY HEART, BUT WATCHING THAT ON STREAMING RUINED THIS PART LOL!
What do you think of the John story? He's a corps on the beach, yet he's into the Temple and then turns out he's also the smoke monster? Do you believe that is the real John? I'm really....LOST now...
I actually thought the smoke moster was Jack's father...

  11. I'm working my way through Lost now! I gave up when it left Channel4, but am working through the DVDs, just finished season 3! It's worth it.

  12. I love being dark haired - I was blonde once (and many other colours aside) but being dark is definitely how I like to be.

'Boone' chap is in that Vampire Diary programme as a bad guy I think. I've not seen it though. I have stuck through Lost and it's it's too late to give up now. I don't watch much tv usually but I'm looking forward to True Blood season 2 starting soon.

Good luck with the job seeking process!

  19. Definitely go brown! I think it'd really suit you and coming from a fellow blonde (with a little help from the bottle... not much though, honest!) I can say I truly do think brunettes look classier.

So excited to see the places you visited over the weekend! I love finding out about new thrifting opportunities. And I want to see your purchases!!

  24. I think brown would suit you lovely! You should give it a go :)

Antique's are amazing. I'm planning on going to a market this Sunday in the hope of finding something special!

Lost I gave up on after season 1. I used to watch it on TV and the advert for every damn episode had a voice over saying 'don't miss the most important episode yet...it will answer all your questions' and it never did!
I could probably watch it if I got the DVD set and watched it one after the other.
